With Q Realty's Client Portal, real estate has never been so easy!

Whether you are buying or selling a home, in Albuquerque or Albany, Tuscaloosa or Tempe, one thing is true: Real estate can be incredibly complex. Hundreds of tasks must get completed, without fail, in order for a transaction to be considered "successful" and for your needs to be met.
While many Real Estate Brokers think the test of a successful transaction is whether or not they got paid, we at Q Realty® think about it much differently. We have a formula in place that guarantees that not only our contractual tasks and requirements are complete, but we also manage the opposing side of the transaction. Protecting yourself from the variety of Realtor listed above begins with you, at the time you select and hire a Realtor. That said, while you DO have the ability to choose YOUR Realtor, you don't usually have the ability to choose the realtor on the other side of the transaction - that is decided by the opposing party long before we ever enter into a purchase agreement with them. Sometimes the Realtor on the other side of the transaction is terrific, but often the Realtor on the other side of the deal lacks professionalism and the desire to work for their handsome compensation, and their lack of attention to detail threatens your ability to complete the transaction. This is the very point that Stefan Swanepoel referenced in a report he authored on behalf of the National Association of Realtors, titled "DANGER Report." In his report, Mr. Swanepoel lists 50 separate dangers facing the real estate industry. The very first item on his list speaks to my point. Item A1 states "Masses of Marginal Agents Destroy Reputation - The real estate industry is saddled with a large number of part-time, untrained, unethical, and/or incompetent agents. This knowledge gap threatens the credibility of the industry."
I would never have had the guts to come right out and say that our industry has a problem of this magnitude and nature, which starts with the individual Realtors themselves, if not for Mr. Swanepoel's report. I had the privilege, as a Director of the National Association of Realtors, to listen to Mr. Swanepoel as he delivered his report to the Board of Directors at a Board of Directors meeting in Washington, DC. Though some time has passed since his report was written and volumes of his 164-page report have been distributed around the globe, the problem seems to get bigger and bigger with every passing year. I attribute this problem to the minimal barrier of entry into the real estate profession - anyone can get a license with very little effort - and the lack of supervision by the very individuals who are supposed to be supervising their associates. I also believe the local, state and national Realtor associations, as well as the individual state departments of real estate and/or real estate commissions, share some culpability, as they are too focused on dues dollars and licensing fees generated by Realtors and real estate licensees and not focused enough on providing support for the good Realtors and Licensees who are keeping the industry afloat.
This could not be further from the case at Q Realty®. We have a protocol in place, checklists, and requirements that EVERYTHING must be done in order for our associates to get paid - even the opposing Realtor's tasks must be complete. If every contractual obligation is not complete and done so correctly, they do not get paid until they are. That said, I don't know what that really looks or feels like, as we consistently complete every contract deadline and task, and deliver exceptional results time after time. I have and have found that most don't offer this quality of testimonial to the public, but, instead, focus on Zillow and Google reviews, which can be written by friends, family, or even perfect strangers.
Which brings me to my final point, before I ask you to watch a 1-minute video. DO NOT SETTLE FOR UNPROFESSIONAL REALTORS. I don't care if your own family member is a Realtor or your boss's spouse is a Realtor. DO NOT USE THEM IF THEY CANNOT DEMONSTRATE TO YOU THAT THEY ARE A TRUE PROFESSIONAL. Ask for reviews, lookup their performance, do anything you can to figure out if they're in the pool of amazing and wonderful Realtors, or in the bucket of crummy Realtors who couldn't find a "real job" so they got into real estate. Whatever you do, don't go blindly into business with someone to help you with the largest investment of your life, just because you feel pressured to use them. Hire someone you KNOW will perform and will do the job you're hiring them to do, and with poise and professionalism.
